Ingredients:

 • 500g shrimp (peeled and deveined)

 • 2-3 tablespoons oil (for frying)

 • 3-4 garlic cloves (minced)

 • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)

 • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

 • 3 tablespoons honey (or sweet chili sauce)

 • 2 tablespoons ketchup (or tomato paste)

 • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)

 • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

 • 1-2 tablespoons water (if needed to thin the sauce)

 • Salt and pepper (to taste)

 • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

 • Chopped spring onions (optional garnish)

Instructions:

 1. Prepare the Shrimp:

 • Clean and peel the shrimp. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

 • Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.

 2. Cook the Shrimp:

 • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

 • Add shrimp to the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and slightly crispy.

 • Remove the shrimp from the pan and set them aside.

 3. Make the Sauce:

 • In the same pan, add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

 • Add soy sauce, honey (or sweet chili sauce), ketchup, and rice vinegar. Stir well to combine.

 • If the sauce seems too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to thin it out slightly.

 • Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens.

 4. Combine Shrimp with Sauce:

 • Add the cooked shrimp back into the pan and toss them in the sauce, ensuring they are fully coated.

 • Drizzle sesame oil over the shrimp and stir to combine.

 5. Garnish and Serve:

 • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions if desired.

 • Serve the shrimp hot, with rice or as part of a larger meal.
